What is part of Joseph's growing mini-apothecary in his room:

Several larger jars of herbs and potions and salves.

Brought from home:
  • Balm of Gilead salve (given to Lucy for the healing of the horses)
  • Rose Water
  • Orange Blossom Water
  • Smelling Salts
  • Peppermint Oil
  • basic field medical kit common for military and traveling doctors
  • basic travel surgical kit
  • several muslin pouches of various sizes
  • set of glass vials (5) ... filled with stuff from mine visit in April
Foraged from Ashford Grounds during February and March:
  • milkweed pods (for warts, coughs, kidney/gall stones)
  • juniper berries (against infection)
  • balm of gilead (now in largest glass jar acquirable from cook and steeping for potion use in May)
  • Willowbark (for pain or fever)
  • Sweet Cicely (for flatulence, coughs, ulcers)
  • Hemlock (poison and hallucinogen)
  • rosehip (use instead of orange to boost immune system and cure illnesses)
  • white pine sap (antiseptic)
  • white pine needles (for coughs and colds, good with rosehips)
  • hawthorn leaves (for chest pains & heart problems)
  • hawthorn berries (for blood pressure problems)
  • mugwort (antibacterial, counters poisons,
April stuff:
  • started cultivating healing herbs in an abandoned garden space
  • stared cultivating mugwort (banishes the unwelcome, protects travelers, divination)
  •  pouch full of lichen from the mine
  • pouch full of loose iron ore bits
  • vial of monster venom
  • vial of monster venom antidote (mixed with mugwort)
  • 3 vials of... monster bits
